The NCJGA was founded in 1965 by PGA golf professional David Emerick and his family. In 1997, the organization was revived with a focus on introducing young golfers to the sport. The NCJGA offers a variety of experiences to golfers of all ages and skill levels - from tournaments and clinics to camps and lessons. No matter what their current skill level, the NCJGA provides an opportunity for junior golfers to develop a lifelong passion for the game. The organization's wide range of programs are designed to meet the needs of any level of golfer, from beginner to national level player. Initially started by Rich Amano, Charlene Marson, and Tammy Marson, GACA is actively targeting and executing events and activities to facilitate its mission, “Building Life Skills Through Golf.” Currently, GACA is working in close collaboration with volunteers to promote and expand its mission. GACA was formed in 2011 with the goal of aiding and supporting children with autism in improving their social, motor, coordination, and golf skills. Recent estimates indicate that 1 in 68 children are living with autism, and GACA has developed a plan to use golf as a tool for helping with social interaction and skill development. This organization was originally started by Rich Amano, Charlene Marson, and Tammy Marson, and GACA has taken a number of steps to realize its vision.
