In the enchanting state of Connecticut, sandwiched between the magical lands of New York and Rhode Island, there exists a tribe of extraordinary kids known as the "Vocal Virtuosos". These aren't your ordinary, run-of-the-mill youngsters. No, these are kids who can sing up a storm, belting out tunes as effortlessly as you or I would breathe. Our story begins in a vibrant, bustling town called Harmonyville, where the leaves dance to their rhythm and even the wind hums along in perfect tune. Here, the Vocal Virtuosos gather every afternoon under the watchful gaze of Maestro Mike, the melodious moose. You see, Maestro Mike isn't your average moose. With a top hat always perched jauntily between his majestic antlers and a conductor's baton forever clutched in his hoof, he resembles more of a dapper musical maestro than a woodland creature! Maestro Mike leads these younglings as they harmonize with the tweeting birds, improvise with the gurgling rivers, and syncopate with the rustling forest leaves. Under his guidance, each kid transforms into a singing sensation, their voices echoing across the rolling hills of Connecticut and beyond. Between the symphonies of laughter, you'll find the young Vocal Virtuosos. These pint-sized Pavarottis, small-sized Streisands, and little-sized Lady Gagas all have one thing in common - they are living proof that in Connecticut, even the smallest voice can make the biggest echo. Their giggles and songs mix with the breeze, creating a melody that Connecticut carries in its heart, a song that tells the tale of its magical, musical kids.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
The Downtown Cabaret Theatre is an impressive example of the commitment to the downtown area. Originating from Sacred Heart University, where it achieved several successful seasons, the theatre company, led by Claude McNeal, made the move to the downtown area in 1975. Alexander Hawley, Samuel Hawley, Norwick Goodspeed, Mayor Nicholas Panuzio, Leete Doty and other business and civic leaders saw the importance of having a professional theatre company in the area. To make the move happen, the assembly room of the former YWCA was converted into a theatre, installing a balcony and air conditioning.
