Under new management in August of 2010, the arena is committed to embracing the traditions of Hamden Hockey while bringing the building to the forefront of hockey rinks in New England. Programs at Louis Astorina Ice Arena in Hamden, CT
BeAKid
Snowplow Sam for Tots (Levels 1-4)
This program is open to toddlers from ages 3-5. Level 1 is for children who have never skated before. Level 2 and 3 are for children with some experience. Level 4 is more advanced for those children not quite ready to matriculate into the Basic Skills track. Each child will be placed in the appropriate level after his or her skills are evaluated by the Skating Director.

There are 6 levels in this program, and each skater will be placed in the appropriate level after his or her skills are evaluated by the Skating Director.
BeAKid
Hockey (1-4 & Power Skating)
There are 5 levels in this program, and each skater will be placed in the appropriate level after his or her skills are evaluated by the Skating Director. Requirments: Must have successfully completed Basic Snowplow Sam 3 or Basic 1.
