New York is not just a state; it's a world of its own, a big apple full of exciting secrets. It's a place where skyscrapers touch the stars, where hotdogs have their parades, and squirrels do yoga in Central Park. Now, you might think New York is all about bright lights and busy streets, but don't be fooled! It's also a world where kids turn into fearless Waterskiing Wizards. Let me introduce you to Finny, the Fun-loving Frog, who hops through NY with a contagious zest. Finny's best friends are these extraordinary kids who adore waterskiing! They are not ordinary kids; they are secret superheroes who swap their school uniforms for wetsuits, their backpacks for life-vests, and their textbooks for waterskis. They are the kids who go zooming over the Finger Lakes, leaving trails of laughter and splashes. While the rest of New York is fast asleep, dreaming about the Yankees' next game or the biggest slice of cheesecake, these kids are out there, under the starry sky, threading their way through the moonlit waters. It's a spectacular sight! Imagine the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building tucking themselves in for the night, while our brave little heroes zip and zoom on waterskiis, with Finny the Frog leading the way. In New York, where pizzas are considered a vital food group and people chat with pigeons, these waterskiing kids add even more color and excitement. They are like the sparkling sprinkles on NY's gigantic ice-cream sundae. So, the next time you think of NY, picture this - pizzas, squirrels, big buildings, and a bunch of kids who waterski under the watchful eyes of a fun-loving frog. Sounds like a hoot, doesn't it?

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
YMCA Camp Gorham is a great opportunity for kids to connect with each other and take a break from the screens! Kids will develop resilience and self-confidence as they navigate new experiences, while learning to make decisions independently. With the right tools and support, they’ll build social intelligence too, as they work together to accomplish goals, make friends, and feel like part of a community. We know that parents want the best for their children, and at YMCA Camp Gorham, we’re committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for kids to grow. Our campers can take part in activities that will help them build confidence and resilience and learn to make decisions and step out of their comfort zone. And with the guidance of our experienced staff and counselors, they can also develop social intelligence to make friends and feel part of a community. At YMCA Camp Gorham, we’re giving kids the chance to unplug and truly bond. We want our campers to leave feeling like their best selves, with new skills and a greater sense of self-confidence. We’re here to help kids get the most out of their camp experience and create memories that will last a lifetime.
