About Rolling River Day Camp in East Rockaway, NY
Directors Rhonda and Mark have created a legacy of campers and staff that are passionate about the program and its mission. Rhonda and Mark first met as camp counselors in 1975 and later founded Rolling River in 1992. Now, their three children, Marissa, Alison and Jonathan, serve as essential members of the year-round Leadership Team. The Goodman family and extended Rolling River Crew work together to maintain the highest standard of innovative programming and superior customer service to the local community. Through the Goodman family’s determination and commitment to camp, Rolling River has become a place where campers can make memories that last a lifetime. From the first-time camper to the veteran staff member, everyone has a unique experience that contributes to the rich history of Rolling River and its powerful impact on so many lives.

BeAKid
Skippers (Ages 2-5)
The Rolling River Skipper Division includes campers ages 2-5 (toddler to kindergarten) and the outcome for Skipper campers is to embark on a voyage of independence. Outstanding adult supervision, an intimate environment, and flexible program offerings provide the perfect balance for a smooth introduction to camp.
BeAKid
Mariners (Grades 1-4)
The Rolling River Mariner Division includes campers entering grades 1 – 4 and the outcome for Mariner campers is to embark on a voyage of experimentation. Our goal is to expose campers to a variety of activities and allow them to focus on desired skills and interest through select option-based programs.

Navigators (Grades 5-8)
The Rolling River Navigator Division includes campers entering grades 5 – 8 and the outcome for Navigator campers is to embark on a voyage of exploration. The Navigator Division is the perfect combination of a traditional summer camp experience and exciting travel program. This popular program sets the standard for creativity in day camping by allowing campers to explore their personal passions both on and off-campus.

C.I.T. Program (Grades 9-10)
The Rolling River CIT (counselor-in-training) Division includes campers entering grades 9 – 10 and the outcome for CITs is to embark on a voyage of growth. Rolling River’s CIT program is a one-of-a-kind, transitional experience that cannot be found at any other day camp. The unique blend of on-campus training in addition to daily CIT activities, off-campus trips and evening activities is the reason why our CIT Division is completely full each year.
