Once upon a time, in the great, bustling state of New York, there existed a group of kids known as the "Skateboard Squirrels." No, they weren't puff-tailed critters zooming around on four wheels. They were real-life, pizza-loving, fearless kids. But why "Squirrels," you ask? Well, just like the squirrels in New York City's Central Park, they could be found darting about just about everywhere, their shoes instead of tiny paws making a clatter on the city's concrete forest. These kids had the balance of ballet dancers, the bravery of superheroes, and a sense of fun that could rival any Saturday morning cartoon. They whipped through the streets of the Big Apple like sprightly little whirlwinds, their skateboards gliding smoothly over the hot dog wrappers and pigeon feathers. Skateboard Squirrels weren't just good at what they did; they were the masters of their craft. Sal, the Squirrels' leader with a hairdo like a fluffy squirrel tail, could do an ollie over a stack of New York's finest pizzas. Little Benny, the youngest of the group, was a wizard on wheels, pulling off tricks that made even the city's grumpiest taxi drivers crack a smile. But the coolest part? The Skateboard Squirrels had a secret weapon - a mystical talking squirrel named Nutty McNutter. Legend has it that Nutty was a former skating champion who'd been transformed into a squirrel by a mischievous wizard. Nutty, with his acorn-shaped helmet and tiny skateboard, was the best coach any kid in New York could ever wish for. With Nutty by their side, the Skateboard Squirrels were not just kids skating in New York; they were a wild, funny, and fantastic crew that made the city their playground!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
