About Camp Woodbrooke in Richland Center, WI

Welcome to Camp Woodbrooke! Located in southwestern Wisconsin, this unique residential summer camp offers a safe, supportive environment for campers ages 7-12 to explore the natural world. With no more than 34 campers at a time, Camp Woodbrooke provides an intimate opportunity for campers to get to know one another and foster important life skills such as independence, accountability, negotiation and decision making. Campers also participate in daily work crews which help to teach them the importance of working together. For older campers, ages 13-15, Camp Woodbrooke has an expanded program. This program allows campers to experience a bike or canoe trip and camp along the way, further expanding their horizons and building upon the experiences and skills they have developed as younger campers. At Camp Woodbrooke, campers of all ages are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow in a safe and supportive environment. With 162 acres of land, there is plenty of opportunity to discover new things and make lasting memories.

Young Campers

ur Young Camper program involves children ages 7 to 12 in many activities on the Camp Woodbrooke site. We are a small camp with a maximum number of 34. Our typical camper to staff ratio is 3:1.

Teens

Camp Woodbrooke's teen program enhances previous experience with activities and skill development appropriate to campers ages 13-15. Open to campers who have completed the 7th grade, or equivalent, and are interested in more adventure. Each session offers an opportunity to learn and practice backpacking, biking and canoeing skills. Campers will gain experience in taking responsible roles in group living.

Helpers

Helpers are young people, 16-18 years old, who volunteer to help with the life of the camp in exchange for room and board. Helpers assist in the kitchen with meal preparations and clean-up, assist with gardening, laundry and general maintenance. In addition helpers will be expected to join in the camper activities and help with bedtime. Helpers should come expecting to work hard and learn new things.
