Once upon a time, in the enchanting state of Connecticut, known for its lush green landscapes and picturesque coastline, a band of extraordinary kids embarked on a thrilling journey of Flag Football. These kids were not your ordinary children, oh no, they were the Super Flaggers!

Connecticut, a magical land that seemed like a giant playground, was their arena. Filled with charming towns, majestic rivers, and steeped in history, it was the perfect setting for their epic adventures. Kids from across the state, from the bustling cities to the tranquil countryside, united under the banner of the Super Flaggers.

Their leader was Captain Chuckles. Don't be fooled by his name; he might have been the funniest kid in the state with a laugh that could shake the mighty Connecticut River, but he was also a master strategist. His comedic antics kept the team’s spirits high, his laughter was so infectious that even the grumpiest of grumps couldn’t help but chuckle.

Then there was Swift Sally, the speediest girl in Connecticut. She was faster than a squirrel darting up an oak tree, zipping past opponents on the football field before they could even blink. Her agility and quick thinking were key to the team's success.

Last but not least, was Gripper Greg, the best flag-catcher in all of New England. Greg could catch flags with his eyes closed! No matter how swift, how cunning the opponent, no one could keep their flag safe from Gripper Greg.

And so, day after day, the Super Flaggers practiced under the Connecticut sun, filling the air with laughter, camaraderie, and unyielding spirit. They played for fun, they played for friendship, they played for the love of the game - they were the heroes of Flag Football in Connecticut.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Swift Nature Camp an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-15 located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. 

 I’m Lonnie, the Camp Director, and I’m thrilled to share what makes SNC such a special place for kids and families alike. For nearly 30 years, our mission has been to create an environment where children can grow, discover, and make lifelong memories. Here at camp, we focus on friendship, personal development, and a deep connection to nature—all in a fun, supportive, and adventurous setting. All this without cell phones
One of the things that sets Swift Nature Camp apart is our focus on fostering independence and confidence. Whether it’s trying a new activity like canoeing, taking on a leadership role in a group project, or simply navigating life away from home, camp provides endless opportunities for personal growth. We celebrate each camper’s unique personality and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone in a safe and nurturing way. Seeing kids gain new skills and pride in their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

For our youngest campers, Discovery Camp is an especially magical experience. Designed only for first-time campers ages 6-12, this shorter program gives kids a chance to experience the joys of camp life in a way that’s just right for them. It’s amazing to watch these kids try new things—from learning about the natural world to singing campfire songs—and leave camp with big smiles and even bigger stories to tell. Discovery Camp is often the beginning of a long and cherished relationship with SNC, and we’re so proud to see those first-time campers grow into confident and capable young people.

Another cornerstone of Swift Nature Camp is our connection to the environment. We believe that nature isn’t just a backdrop for camp; it’s a teacher, a playground, and a source of endless wonder. Through hands-on activities like pond studies, wildlife observation, and outdoor adventures, campers develop an appreciation for the natural world that stays with them long after camp ends. The Camp Zoo is always a favorite, campers can even adopt a pet while at camp.Our goal is to inspire kids to become curious, mindful stewards of the environment.

At Swift Nature Camp, there’s never a dull day! With hundreds of land and water activities, campers are always engaged and excited. On land, some favorites include the Lego Cabin, Arts & Crafts, Archery, and exploring the Nature Center. On the water, campers learn Canoeing, Fishing, and Swimming, but the absolute favorites are Tubing behind the boat and jumping off the Water Trampoline. Never is there a dull day because every day is packed with fun, adventure, and opportunities to try something new.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing friendships that form here. SNC is a place where kids truly feel like they belong. Campers and counselors alike bring warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm to everything we do, creating a strong sense of community. Whether it’s cheering each other on during a game, collaborating on a creative project, or sharing laughs around the campfire, the bonds formed at Swift Nature Camp are something truly special.

Our sports bubble is the perfect place for athletes of all levels to hone their skills. With 3 large indoor fields and multiple outdoor fields, you can take part in a variety of sports in a comfortable and safe environment. The spectator area gives family and friends the perfect chance to watch and cheer on their favorite athletes. The Professional Sand Volleyball court provides an extra challenge for those looking for an even bigger challenge.

At Silver Oak Mystic, we provide a wide range of activities and programs for adults and children alike. Our offerings include tennis and pickleball programs, private and group lessons, turf and batting cage rentals, and sports such as soccer, baseball, lacrosse, flag football, field hockey, and cornhole. We also have birthday parties, company and private leagues, and a variety of clinics, lessons, and tournaments.

Our Napa-style clubhouse is the perfect place to watch all the fun. Spectators can relax in our Silver Oak Mystic bar and patio, and it's also an ideal spot to host special events such as weddings, bridal showers, anniversaries, and office parties. Shelton Flag Football (SFFL) is a modified flag football league that has been teaching young athletes football since 1971. Players wear full equipment and are taught proper blocking techniques, ball handling, and other basic football skills. Tackling is not allowed but during the flag pulling process, players can and do hit the ground. 

SFFL has a reputation for producing skill-orientated, open football players. Many players have moved on from SFFL to play HS football, earning All-State honors and one even going on to play professional football! The goal of SFFL is to teach football in a fun and safe environment, expecting all coaches, game officials, teammates, parents, and fans to contribute to this goal. 

SFFL is a unique league that offers a great football experience for all players involved. Players are taught basic and advanced football skills that are conducive to their level of play, such as downfield blocking and ball control. There is an emphasis to teach the game in a safe manner yet still provide an exciting experience for the players.

The Torrington Warriors Youth Football & Cheer Organization is dedicated to creating a safe and fun learning environment that encourages our players to reach their full potential. We promote a positive atmosphere that is conducive to promoting physical fitness, character development, and leadership skills. Our coaches are passionate about teaching the fundamentals of the game and inspiring our players to become great athletes, and more importantly, great people. The Town of Woodbury Parks and Recreation Department is passionate about creating an inclusive environment for everyone in the community. This dynamic institution offers a range of classes including stand-up comedy, advanced writer workshops, and even a summer camp! They even organize monthly live stand-up comedy shows, providing a real-world stage for budding comedians to showcase their talent.
