Once upon a time, in a land of long rivers and towering trees, lived a bunch of groovy kids. This land was known as Connecticut, fondly nicknamed CT. CT was a place where the sun loved to shine, and where autumn leaves danced with the wind. These kids were no ordinary children. They were part of a magical group who loved to play music, sing, and dance. They were the champions of Music Therapy!

Now, you must be wondering, what's so special about Music Therapy? Well, my dear friend, just put on your imagination hat and join me on this journey. Picture this: a bunch of kids, each holding a different musical instrument, strumming, blowing, and beating in a rhythm that would make even the grumpiest troll tap his foot.

Among these fabulous kids, there was one who stood out. His name was Beatbox Benny. Benny, a kid with wild curls and an infectious smile, could create a symphony using just his mouth! He would beatbox, and it would sound like a full band was playing. His tunes were so catchy that even the birds would start bopping their heads to his rhythm!

These kids of CT, with their musical magic, spread joy everywhere. Their Music Therapy was not just about playing music; it was about healing hearts, spreading happiness, and creating a magical symphony that would echo in the hearts of everyone in CT.

So, next time you hear a catchy beat or a beautiful melody, it might just be the fabulous kids of CT, with Beatbox Benny leading the band, spreading their magical music therapy! Isn't it simply splendid?

Welcome to the wonderful world of Swift Nature Camp an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-15 located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. 

 I’m Lonnie, the Camp Director, and I’m thrilled to share what makes SNC such a special place for kids and families alike. For nearly 30 years, our mission has been to create an environment where children can grow, discover, and make lifelong memories. Here at camp, we focus on friendship, personal development, and a deep connection to nature—all in a fun, supportive, and adventurous setting. All this without cell phones
One of the things that sets Swift Nature Camp apart is our focus on fostering independence and confidence. Whether it’s trying a new activity like canoeing, taking on a leadership role in a group project, or simply navigating life away from home, camp provides endless opportunities for personal growth. We celebrate each camper’s unique personality and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone in a safe and nurturing way. Seeing kids gain new skills and pride in their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

For our youngest campers, Discovery Camp is an especially magical experience. Designed only for first-time campers ages 6-12, this shorter program gives kids a chance to experience the joys of camp life in a way that’s just right for them. It’s amazing to watch these kids try new things—from learning about the natural world to singing campfire songs—and leave camp with big smiles and even bigger stories to tell. Discovery Camp is often the beginning of a long and cherished relationship with SNC, and we’re so proud to see those first-time campers grow into confident and capable young people.

Another cornerstone of Swift Nature Camp is our connection to the environment. We believe that nature isn’t just a backdrop for camp; it’s a teacher, a playground, and a source of endless wonder. Through hands-on activities like pond studies, wildlife observation, and outdoor adventures, campers develop an appreciation for the natural world that stays with them long after camp ends. The Camp Zoo is always a favorite, campers can even adopt a pet while at camp.Our goal is to inspire kids to become curious, mindful stewards of the environment.

At Swift Nature Camp, there’s never a dull day! With hundreds of land and water activities, campers are always engaged and excited. On land, some favorites include the Lego Cabin, Arts & Crafts, Archery, and exploring the Nature Center. On the water, campers learn Canoeing, Fishing, and Swimming, but the absolute favorites are Tubing behind the boat and jumping off the Water Trampoline. Never is there a dull day because every day is packed with fun, adventure, and opportunities to try something new.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing friendships that form here. SNC is a place where kids truly feel like they belong. Campers and counselors alike bring warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm to everything we do, creating a strong sense of community. Whether it’s cheering each other on during a game, collaborating on a creative project, or sharing laughs around the campfire, the bonds formed at Swift Nature Camp are something truly special.

Every week in our classes, babies, toddlers, and young children have the opportunity to explore music and movement together. Caregivers are able to witness and participate in their children’s exploration of music and how it helps them grow into confident music-makers. Our classes are filled with songs that will have everyone singing and moving in no time. Music Together in West Hartford and Farmington Valley is the perfect family activity!

Come join us for a fun and educational music and movement class for young children and their families! Our Music Together classes are designed to be enjoyable and engaging for babies, toddlers, young children, and their caregivers. Everyone in the family will love playing musically together and discovering the joy of music and movement. Our classes also feature songs that will have you singing and moving along in no time. At 10selden, we're dedicated to inspiring creativity and providing a safe, welcoming environment for creative exploration. Our 7000 square foot facility has been refurbished with a recording studio, music and art lessons, a full concert stage with professional sound and lights, and a newly remodeled art gallery. With its athletic and artistic components, rhythmic gymnastics will allow children to experience a rich variety of music, international dance styles, and a “yoga level” of flexibility and coordination. 

The Tailor-made leotard designs, creative teamwork, exercising with multiple apparatuses such as hoops, ribbons, jumping ropes, balls and clubs and personality-infused routines will all inform your child's aesthetic and athletic education. It is an opportunity for kids to have fun and express themselves while getting in shape and learning to be part of a team. Additionally, rhythmic gymnastics is an Olympic sport that is known for its beauty and grace. 

Not only is Rhythmic Gymnastics an excellent source of physical and artistic development, but it is also an opportunity for children to find something they truly love. With its combination of music, dance, flexibility, and coordination, there is something for everyone to love about Rhythmic Gymnastics.

Paula Gallo is an experienced and passionate vocal and piano instructor. She has been immersed in music for more than two decades, beginning with piano lessons at the age of 8. She then studied with renowned pianist Ruth Harvey Manning of Westport, CT, and minored in piano at Syracuse University. When she’s not designing graphics, Paula teaches Music Together in Fairfield County, a program that encourages toddlers and infants to explore their musicality. She also teaches piano and voice at the School of Rock in Fairfield, CT, which uses performance-based learning techniques. With Paula’s unique and proven method, she guarantees her students will see noticeable improvement in six weeks or less.

In 1993, the Martocchio family opened Martocchio Music and it has since become a staple in the local community. They offer music lessons to students of all ages in state-of-the-art studios and serve students from surrounding schools, including Simsbury, Granby, Avon, Canton, Bloomfield, and Farmington. The retail store offers the sale and rental of band and orchestral instruments, as well as accessories and sheet music. They also provide instrument repair and maintenance.
