In the enchanting state of Connecticut, sandwiched between the magical lands of New York and Rhode Island, there exists a tribe of extraordinary kids known as the "Vocal Virtuosos". These aren't your ordinary, run-of-the-mill youngsters. No, these are kids who can sing up a storm, belting out tunes as effortlessly as you or I would breathe. Our story begins in a vibrant, bustling town called Harmonyville, where the leaves dance to their rhythm and even the wind hums along in perfect tune. Here, the Vocal Virtuosos gather every afternoon under the watchful gaze of Maestro Mike, the melodious moose. You see, Maestro Mike isn't your average moose. With a top hat always perched jauntily between his majestic antlers and a conductor's baton forever clutched in his hoof, he resembles more of a dapper musical maestro than a woodland creature! Maestro Mike leads these younglings as they harmonize with the tweeting birds, improvise with the gurgling rivers, and syncopate with the rustling forest leaves. Under his guidance, each kid transforms into a singing sensation, their voices echoing across the rolling hills of Connecticut and beyond. Between the symphonies of laughter, you'll find the young Vocal Virtuosos. These pint-sized Pavarottis, small-sized Streisands, and little-sized Lady Gagas all have one thing in common - they are living proof that in Connecticut, even the smallest voice can make the biggest echo. Their giggles and songs mix with the breeze, creating a melody that Connecticut carries in its heart, a song that tells the tale of its magical, musical kids.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

As we start this Fall Semester 2021, we hope that everyone is safe and healthy. We want to extend our deepest sympathies to our beloved school founder, Mr. Alan Sheff, who sadly lost his wife of 48 years, Ronna, in March. We are thankful for Mr. Sheff’s courage and strength during this difficult time. We are also grateful for Sara Slocum for stepping in and managing the day-to-day operations of the school while Mr. Sheff was caring for Ronna. In memory of Ronna, Mr. Sheff is in the process of starting a dance scholarship in her name to honor her commitment to dance. We look forward to learning more about this scholarship in the future. We are also thrilled to announce that the school has relaxed its mask protocol for the Fall Semester. Masks will be required for unvaccinated students and parents, as the safety of our students and faculty is of utmost importance. In other exciting news, we’ve just completed our new Podcast Studio! Every Tuesday night, Jon Peckman will be hosting his weekly podcast, which will feature a variety of musical topics and interviews with our faculty and special guest artists. Music Together of Fairfield County (MTFC) was founded by Jackie Jacobs in April 1994. Jackie was the first to bring the renowned Music Together® program to Connecticut, having discovered her passion for it after taking her son Daniel to classes in Brooklyn Heights. As a former professional dancer and singer with a BA in dance education, she was excited to start her own program in Fairfield when she and her family moved to the suburbs. Jackie was inspired by the response her son had to the classes, as well as the research behind the program. She enjoyed learning about music and child development alongside Daniel’s learning, and was eager to teach the program to other families. Having seen the positive impact that the Music Together classes had on her son, Jackie was driven to spread the joy of music to other children in the Fairfield area.
