In the tiny, yet twinkling state of Connecticut, known for its lush green landscapes and lip-smacking lobster rolls, a gaggle of spirited kids participates in a thrilling activity - Lacrosse. The 'Lacrosse Looneys', as they are fondly called, are a quirky bunch, each with an energy as boundless as CT's majestic Long Island Sound.

Leading the pack is their imaginary friend, Lenny the Laughing Lobster. Lenny, with his enormous claws as lacrosse sticks and a shell tougher than the toughest helmet, is the unparalleled king of CT Lacrosse. His laughter, louder than a foghorn, can be heard across the state, sending waves of joy that bounce off the Mystic Seaport and echo back from the Mark Twain House.

These Connecticut kids, following Lenny's lead, put their heart and soul into every game. They zoom across the field like rockets, flashing their lacrosse sticks, and flinging the ball with a zest that would make a Whiffenpoof's notes tremble. Their determination is as robust as CT's famous white oaks, and their bubbling laughter, just like Lenny's, echoes through the state, tickling the leaves of the tree Connecticut cherishes.

Lacrosse isn't just a sport for these kids; it's a magical adventure. They're not just boys and girls chasing a ball; they’re brave knights and agile elves in an enchanting quest. And every time they step onto the lacrosse field, it’s not just a game, it’s another chapter in the grand saga of the 'Lacrosse Looneys' and Lenny the Laughing Lobster, in the beautiful, fun-loving state of Connecticut.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Swift Nature Camp an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-15 located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. 

 I’m Lonnie, the Camp Director, and I’m thrilled to share what makes SNC such a special place for kids and families alike. For nearly 30 years, our mission has been to create an environment where children can grow, discover, and make lifelong memories. Here at camp, we focus on friendship, personal development, and a deep connection to nature—all in a fun, supportive, and adventurous setting. All this without cell phones
One of the things that sets Swift Nature Camp apart is our focus on fostering independence and confidence. Whether it’s trying a new activity like canoeing, taking on a leadership role in a group project, or simply navigating life away from home, camp provides endless opportunities for personal growth. We celebrate each camper’s unique personality and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone in a safe and nurturing way. Seeing kids gain new skills and pride in their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

For our youngest campers, Discovery Camp is an especially magical experience. Designed only for first-time campers ages 6-12, this shorter program gives kids a chance to experience the joys of camp life in a way that’s just right for them. It’s amazing to watch these kids try new things—from learning about the natural world to singing campfire songs—and leave camp with big smiles and even bigger stories to tell. Discovery Camp is often the beginning of a long and cherished relationship with SNC, and we’re so proud to see those first-time campers grow into confident and capable young people.

Another cornerstone of Swift Nature Camp is our connection to the environment. We believe that nature isn’t just a backdrop for camp; it’s a teacher, a playground, and a source of endless wonder. Through hands-on activities like pond studies, wildlife observation, and outdoor adventures, campers develop an appreciation for the natural world that stays with them long after camp ends. The Camp Zoo is always a favorite, campers can even adopt a pet while at camp.Our goal is to inspire kids to become curious, mindful stewards of the environment.

At Swift Nature Camp, there’s never a dull day! With hundreds of land and water activities, campers are always engaged and excited. On land, some favorites include the Lego Cabin, Arts & Crafts, Archery, and exploring the Nature Center. On the water, campers learn Canoeing, Fishing, and Swimming, but the absolute favorites are Tubing behind the boat and jumping off the Water Trampoline. Never is there a dull day because every day is packed with fun, adventure, and opportunities to try something new.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing friendships that form here. SNC is a place where kids truly feel like they belong. Campers and counselors alike bring warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm to everything we do, creating a strong sense of community. Whether it’s cheering each other on during a game, collaborating on a creative project, or sharing laughs around the campfire, the bonds formed at Swift Nature Camp are something truly special.

At Silver Oak Mystic, we provide a wide range of activities and programs for adults and children alike. Our offerings include tennis and pickleball programs, private and group lessons, turf and batting cage rentals, and sports such as soccer, baseball, lacrosse, flag football, field hockey, and cornhole. We also have birthday parties, company and private leagues, and a variety of clinics, lessons, and tournaments.

Our Napa-style clubhouse is the perfect place to watch all the fun. Spectators can relax in our Silver Oak Mystic bar and patio, and it's also an ideal spot to host special events such as weddings, bridal showers, anniversaries, and office parties. With 3 large indoor fields and multiple outdoor fields, you can take part in a variety of sports in a comfortable and safe environment. The Professional Sand Volleyball court provides an extra challenge for those looking for an even bigger challenge.

The first thing you'll notice when you walk into Next Level is the friendly staff at the front desk. This is followed by an impressive 40,000 sq. ft athletic facility with 6 batting cages, 4 on the first floor and 2 on the mezzanine level. From the mezzanine level, you can watch the 16,000 sq. ft First County Bank turf field. We also have a gym and sporting goods store in the building. 

Next Level offers a unique package for those seeking to take their game to the next level. The high-tech dual featured system, HitTrax, provides immediate feedback and analytical metrics used by many college and professional coaches. With HitTrax, players can improve their speed, accuracy and power and move their game to the next level.

Introducing the New Haven Youth Lacrosse Program – the perfect activity to get your children involved in during the school year! Our program is open to boys and girls in grades 3rd to 8th, and gives them the chance to learn, practice, and play lacrosse in a fun and safe environment.

This program is a great way to get your child involved in a sport that will help them stay active and develop skills such as hand-eye coordination, communication, and problem solving. Our experienced coaches will teach your child the fundamentals of the game, and also give them the opportunity to learn the importance of team work and sportsmanship.

With regular practices and organized games, your child will be able to develop their skills and have a great time. The New Haven Youth Lacrosse Program is an excellent way for your child to stay active, make friends, and have fun while learning the game of lacrosse.
