Viera Soo Bahk Do is a traditional Korean martial art founded by Grandmaster Hwang Kee, on November 9, 1945. The name “Soo Bahk Do” translates as “Hand Strike Way” and signifies the technical side of the art. “Moo Duk Kwan” translates as “Martial Virtue (or Honor) School” and signifies the style or philosophy that is studied. This well-rounded, self-defense martial art promotes values such as discipline, respect, confidence, and flexibility. At Viera Soo Bahk Do, Master Cruz has 12 years of teaching experience and focuses on three main areas of training: External (technique), Internal (proper breathing, tension & relaxation), and Spiritual (strong intent and confidence). He teaches all ages and is active in National and Regional events. He is also the Regional Examiner for Region 4 (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana) as appointed by the Board of Directors of the US Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation. Viera Soo Bahk Do is a great way to learn the traditional Korean martial art of Soo Bahk Do (Tang Soo Do) Moo Duk Kwan. With 12 years of teaching experience and classes focusing on External, Internal and Spiritual training, Master Cruz helps his students grow in values such as discipline, respect, confidence, and flexibility.
