He guides the Texas Talkin’ Tots on grand adventures, helping them conquer their speech challenges with the power of sheer determination and tons of fun exercises. These kids, from the bustling city of Houston to the rolling hills of Austin, have some tall tales to tell! With a few stumbles and lots of giggles, they bravely practice, perfecting their "S" sounds by pretending to be hissing snakes, or mastering their "R"s like roaring lions. They even tackle "Th" by pretending to be thunderous giants stampeding through the great Texan plains! Every day, these little speech therapy warriors, along with their trusty guide Chatterbox Charlie, transform their therapeutic journey into a wild, laughter-filled escapade, as big as Texas itself. We hold the distinction of being the city's premier Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center (PPECC). Our center is engineered with a focus on catering to the delicate requirements of medically fragile or complex children. We open our arms to little ones as young as six weeks and as mature as 20 years. Our understanding of these children’s unique needs has allowed us to shape our services to ensure both their comfort and growth. At Joycare, we value a holistic approach to care that transcends mere medical services. Our team of proficient nurses delivers exceptional care throughout the day, yet our service umbrella extends far beyond. We offer speech, physical, and occupational therapy to foster the comprehensive development of the child. We believe in diversifying a child's life experiences, hence our programs incorporate music, art, and pet therapy. We also extend our services to non-verbal children with the inclusion of sign language, and offer educational classes to families at no additional cost. Additionally, we facilitate transportation and operate an 8-week therapeutic summer camp. Our latest inclusion is a Telehealth Speech Therapy service, designed to make therapy more accessible. We firmly believe that education is a cornerstone in every child's life, and we strive to offer optimal learning opportunities for our children. We provide a FREE educational program led by a certified teacher, inclusive of a special education curriculum for home-schooled children and a virtual school assistance program. Our goal is to ensure that no child's educational progression is hindered due to their health conditions. Our bilingual (Spanish) staff are on-hand to cater to a diverse range of families and to ensure that language doesn't stand as an obstacle to receiving premium care and education.
